It's the peak of flu and season and would you know I was blessed to have it spread to my home. My poor oldest daughter was affected first and no matter how hard I tried to disinfect my home it eventually got to me.
Being sick is no fun and certainly tries to put me on hold for my workouts. I managed to get through Fire 40 class but 2 hours later I went to bed for a much needed 3 hour nap. I am hoping that this cold will quickly run its course and for today, at least, I feel so much better.
So the question is do you or do you not workout while you are sick. This is not a simple answer and requires one to really listen to their body. While studies have shown 20 to 30 min of regular exercise a day can reduce the chances of sickness, it also should be know if you are on cold medication or have a fever be aware you could be doing more damage than good.

Because I have been eating fairly clean I think it's easier to understand what my body is craving for. Yesterday, I made a trip to my local Food Lion for eggs. That was the only thing on my list but as soon as I walked into the produce isle I could sense my mouth salivating as I gazed on grapefruits and oranges. As soon as I got home I ate half of the grapefruit I could feel my body energize. Other than vitamin C foods I also craved garlic. Lunch I made myself homemade sweet potato soup. I don't know why I craved these foods. It's not like they are foods I consume regularly. But again, I just listened to my body. Today I found an article on MSN about "Super Foods That Fight Colds".
