Most people have the conception that in order to lose weight you have to spend hours in a gym.
This is NOT true!
What YOUR body needs is MOVEMENT THROUGHOUT the day.
When I started my weight loss journey last March at 245 lbs my health and endurance was poor. I knew from past failures that I would do good for 21 days an on the 22nd day let all my efforts slide. I broke my exercise into small achievable goals.

When I started my weight loss journey last March at 245 lbs my health and endurance was poor. I knew from past failures that I would do good for 21 days an on the 22nd day let all my efforts slide. I broke my exercise into small achievable goals.
In March, the first two weeks it was committing to walk for 15 mins a day. Boy it was hard! I huffed and puffed. I thought I was going to die. My shins hurt so bad I had to put ice on them and take ibuprofen daily. I reminded myself that this was because I was out of shape and not because I couldn't do it.
So every morning during my morning work break I grabbed my iPod and listen a inspirational playlist. In April, I rejoined WW and starting tracking meals and exercise. Those 15 min walking break started to feel easier. I then committed to walking during my afternoon break also.
It wasn't till May I started to add longer periods of physical activity in my day in addition to the (2) 15 min walks (morning and afternoon).
By July I was ready for high intensity in addition to my walks. Do you see where I am going here??? 45 to 60 min of my exercise are from committing to move THROUGHOUT the day! And now because my stamina and health has improved I now can do more.
Only YOU have the power to make choices, good or bad. I choose to use my work breaks for walking instead of going out for a smoke or surfing the internet. When you are watching tv at night you can increase you exercise activity by doing activities during commercial breaks. I rush to the kitchen during the Bachelor commercials to see how many dishes I can wash before it comes back on...lol

What small changes
will you commit to?
What kind of activities
can you fill your commercials with?
Put them on your calendar or honey do list and check it off!
Being more active is all in the mind!
